Gender stereotyping can affect your life because if someone calls you a name it can go around. This affects you because people are talking about you, and you don't always know what they are saying.

i think it is a way of belittlement towards the opposite sex. In England back when there was no America, women in England were treated so weakly that men were said to have to carry them over even mud puddles!

Gender Stereotyping can effect daily life because, if you are judged by the way you look or dress, or by what you do, you will be treated differently. For example, in the movie, GRACIE, the she is treated very unfairly. People don't think Gracie should try out for the boys soccer team, because shes a girl. "She's not tough enough, or not good enough." Even Gracie's very own dad treated her differently. He wouldn't train her to be a soccer player, like he did for his sons, because she wasn't a boy. The movie was a great example of Stereotyping, and overcoming other's judgements.

I have two dogs and two cats and two gerberls so we have a big zoo full of anmials. Last year my grangmother and my aunt brought me to a musame and the person the was doing the tours told me that back the golf stood for gentlmen only ladies forbidden. I was kind of shocked to know what that stood for because I didn't know that.

Gender stereotyping can effect your daily life because people could be treated differently then they want to be treated. If a person does something outside the "box", they could be made fun off and hated for being who they are. People aren't suppose to be treated for their gender, they are suppose to be treated for who they really are. There are no rules for being a boy or a girl, people are suppose to be people.

Gender stereotyping is really bad because if anyone uses things like; the GOLF means gentelmen only ladies forbidden, but it can be devastating because women are being excluded from a sport because of their gender. If woman wanted to be like a guy then people would think that she was weird and she would be teased endlessly. If someone was teased because of who they are themselves and if someone was who they want to be and they are teased for it then it will make them feel bad about themselves.

Gender stereotyping can affect your life in many ways it doesn't matter if your a male or female gender stereoytyping can be hurtful. Gender stereotyping can make it so people won't do the things they want to do in life because people tell you can't. For males if you cry or don't like sports or wear the color pink people may have some gender stereotyping on you. People can call you names and be mean because you are just trying to be you. For females if they play sports or are strong or dress a certain way they can get called names too which is all based on gender stereotyping.

There are many ways gender stereotyping can affect daily life. One way is in sports. When golf was first invented, it wasn't just a regular old name. GOLF stood for Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden. Also, in sports like hockey, it's almost completely guys. There are some girl hockey players, but if it weren't for peer pressure then there would be much more girls in hockey. Another example of stereotyping is for music. Most of the time, chorus is always dominated by girls. Most of the time, guys who really could sing if they tried are peer pressured not to. They think that they will be made fun of, and won't end up in chorus.

Wow! I am impressed with your comments and am looking forward to discussing them in class this week! In 7th grade we had a discussion around our likes and dislikes about the opposite sex. I thought about our conversations concerning gender stereotyping during this 7th grade discussion. The conversatons in class were quite spirited!
