When I listened I tried my best to look the person in the eye and not look around. Sometimes it was a little tempting though. I did know what the person was talking about, which I think is a good thing. It didn't exactly interest me but I acted like it did. I tried to make those interjections on the paper... but she just kept talking so I didn't get to say anything whatsoever.
So I guess the listening went "ok". Not really different from my regular conversations.

Listen to them, look them in the eye, ask them how their day was, welcome them home, say thank you, and please.
